Sliding down the stairs

I came home this weekend for Nicola's big 2.1. what a night! I LOVE going out with Curtis, he's my absolute partner in crime and I love him one thousand and one percent and strangly enough, only properly realised on sunday.

I always knew but this weekend, I was like 'bo, that boys my blud' and i nicked his trackies... YES!

Also, met his darling little sister, for some reason has fallen under the rader for the last 8 years of our friendship. What. A. Cherub. I loved her as well.

We're gonna be friends, its decided.

Work today was TEDIOUS. I had to sort through all these pictures that were taken by some ameteur called Jarns and literally wondered why he was given a press pass as he did NO ONE any favours.

I just wanted to be in bed!!!

But, I did see Chris today of Wing Management so I think Chris, Dave and I are going for a drink on wednesday, it should be good, I love those guys.

So today I was bumming School of Seven Bells

Day 1

Wowee.

TGETGETGETGETGE THE GREAT ESCAPE

Stared at a computer screen answering loads of enquiries...

then made some thank you posters for some little unknown names such as NME and Uncut... baahahaha

then had to research some artists

Esser

Mumford and Sons

VV Brown

Hockey

Speech debelle

and two others than I can't remember. Get my own laptop and phone. ya know how it is.

Found this awesome Salad bar today [yeah, rabbit food, so what] it was LUUUSH... lentils n such but its quite expensive... hmmmm shall see what i can do. might start having to have a packed lunch... I used to have a thomas the tank lunchbox. WAY COOL.

then went to find a house to rest my head!

First stop, Homerton... nice little warehouse thing with a cat. The people were nice but they didn't have a double room like they said they did (a little bit miffed) and there was a boiler in the corner... and Homerton was QUITE SCARY.

NEXT! London Fields. LUSH! Balcony in my room, little courtyard thing looking over the park... really cool flatmates and apparently the whole apartment block are friends. RIGHT up my street and they want me there...

so for the next 6 weeks, I shall be a resident of E8. So in the words of my mate, your enemy, Tom Bennett, I am S.T.O.K.E.D. FTW... SWEEEET!

roll on day 2 x

UGH

So uni have offered me my place back!

What do I do now?

Argh.

I'd like to run away now please

so two songs that make me happy

and one that has a bit more credibility. Reminds me of FAJITAS and Disney Monolopy with CHARLIE GADSDON [mention number 2, gonna make me delete it?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?] at the start of the year.

Other than that, I drove to Leeds and back today. All in one day! x

What a difference 5 days makes...

Today, I took to a trip to london to see a man about a dog...

or a lady about an internship, as it were.

and guess what?? I GOT IT!!!!

For the next 3 months, I, Sophie E. Robinson, shall be interning at The Great Escape festival.

so goodbye high wycombe, but not goodbye my lovely friends. You all know who you are.

So, it looks like this week has been pretty life changing [and its only monday]

and 2009 has been pretty definitive.

Never shall I be negative again, as you just don't know what's around the corner.

On my way back home on the train today, my ipod threw a song out that I had, for a long time, avoided to listen to.

This song was played at my mate Jack's memorial service. and instead of pressing 'skip' I endured it and had quite a lovely time remembering him. So to Jack, I miss you, I love you and I still think you're a fucking liability.

So lovlies, I shall carry on looking for a double room in east! This is just absolutely mental. My life as I knew it has done a complete turn in the last 5 days. This is exciting! I'm ready for the challenge and I'm going to do it.

Love to all

x

p.s. Sorry to CGads for calling him a twat, I actually love you dearly.

What a difference a day makes

So... not only has so much happened since I last wrote...

pragmatic and patient doesn't quite work for me hahahaha we'll see i suppose

so... my world got tipped upside down this week. An absolutely mental week its been, well 5 days.

Wednesday fat fighters didnt go too well... i then get home to be told that I was not going to be returning to Uni.

Sorry what? Yeah, you heard. Sophie is no longer a student at Buck New Uni. Technically I am an adult, that now has to embark on her career.

This is fine. Sure its fine. A reccession means theres no jobs... i'm 21 and terrified of whatever i'm about to embark on.

so Wednesday I spent the day being proactive and emailing EVERYONE I know. Courtesy of encouragement from my backbone [Charlie Gadsdon] to not be so bloody defeatist and get on with it.

So I did and then went to see My Sisters Keeper. Really gutted that it wasnt the same as the book, the ending seemed like a bit of a cop out.
but on the other hand, for someone that doesn't want kids, C.Diaz does a really good job at being a mum. Also ate my weight in fizzy cola bottles - they still rule the world. didn't top my £7 pik'n'mix record, but was close!

The next day, I fly to scotland to the Nanny of the land. poor devil is poorly. love her so much.

in my time wasting of our 2 hour delay, managed to log on to the internet and found I have a month placement at Domino Records... WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

thats cool, get a bit excited about that. Give Sarah the Australian, lived in amersterdam for 6 years, on her way to Tel Aviv to do some volunteering work, access to my internet and had a cool conversation about the Flying Doctors.

Got to nannys later than expects, opened the fridge to find it being home to a near birth of a new species. IT STANK.

WHO TURNS A BLOODY FRIDGE OFF? for a wuss i did quite well to clear it out. anyhoo, it now makes sense why she fell... cleaning the fridge at 84 always seems like the best idea, i'm sure.

checked my email just before i went to bed, got a meeting this time. with the lady that organises The Great Escape festival in Brighton... things are starting to look better

spend the day doing errands and got a cool dress as well [cheers Del]

Saw Nanny Scotland... oh I dont know if i want to get that old, to be that confused... it always seems like such a lonely age :(

on the way home i got some sushi and edameme bean salad. LUSH. i could go veggie tomorrow.

got home yesterday with my uni results. [i got a merit, no big deal]

so my parents and I went out for a Thai... yum... accidently got SMASHED. said VD black looked like a cave woman [in the nicest possible way] she got offended. then walked home in the rain with Ben Marshall SWOON my 4yr old self got SO excited.

so today I then learn I have another potention interview in the shape of a ticketing co.

so this week has been positively OKAY!!

i'm excited what the next few months are going to bring. The uni will be recieving my appeal tomorrow whilst i'm in london beginning to climb my ladder of life

this is exciting times!!!

still SO addicted to this band!

speak to you soon i guess.

No longer can handle the rave

Why has my weight loss gone tits up? its gone reverse onto FAT on the scales... shitting heck!

Have had a L.O.V.E.L.Y. few days in Essex and in Ipswich.

Currently learning to be pragmatic and patient... this is fun times :)

Out on the Lawn again tonight, hopefully it won't be a dead one.

Will write something good on here soon, I promise.
